First person offers more immersion, More chance for fair fights where people don't abuse the third person to look around corners or over walls/grass without exposing themself. Group 1 is, for argument's sake, in position A, while Group 2 is in position B. I'd rather avoid having to trek across the zombie riddled countryside each time I was playing with a different group. It depends on server settings (tells you in the name), if it is 1pp you can't change to a 3pp server even if both servers were persistent. And if the the server wasn't persistent from the start then you can't move the character to another server at all. Hope this clarifies.
